Rhymes and Verse
I came across this wonderful verse and would like to share it with everyone, enjoy!
“Methuselah ate what he found on his plate,
And never, as people do now,
Did he note the amount of the calorie count;
He ate it because it was chow.
He wasn’t disturbed as at dinner he sat,
Devouring a roast or a pie,
To think it was lacking in granular fat
Or a couple of vitamins shy.
He cheerfully chewed each species of food,
Unmindful of troubles or fears
Lest his health might be hurt
By some fancy dessert;
And he lived over 900 years.”

Classic Carrot and Walnut Cake
My take on the classic carrot and walnut cake. The smell is absolutely delicious, wafts of cinnamon and nuts enveloped the kitchen while I was baking it. It took a lot of effort to restrain myself from opening the oven door to get to the cake! The cake is topped off with cream cheese based almond cream. Delish!
With the Christmas season just round the corner, this makes a perfect gift or addition to your Christmas season table. Cinnamon-y (forgive me, I do not know if this is a word - you know what I am trying to say though!) , fruity and nutty. Just gorgeous.

Proton Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur October 2009
Long overdue post - went for the semifinals of the Malaysian Open on 3 October 2009 with some of my dearest friends and loved one. We only bought tickets for the afternoon match. However, my BFF caught the tennis match and decided on the spot to go for the night match between Verdasco and Gonzalez. He managed to get Verdasco's autograph, not once, but twice!. **Envious!!**Note - Photo used with permission from my BFF** He he. It's a pity though, the turnout for the event could have been better. C'mon sports fans, we have to support such events in order for better sporting events to be brought here!

Single and snazzy? No one says you can't devour the whole tiramisu by yourself. RM55 for a 6" x 6" portion (generously feeds 4 persons)

(i) the photo of the tiramisu denotes the actual presentation of the tiramisu; and
(ii) yes, you get to keep the microwavable and oven safe dish..but do note that the wine glasses, wine and candle are for illustration purposes only, you will not get those items :-)

Chocolate Royale
Clementine Orange
Crumbly orange butter cake with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. I somehow feel calmer and more relaxed after eating this cake. It must be the heavenly scent of the orange that somehow calms the nerves. It is perfect for afternoon tea or as an after dinner cake. Who needs aromatherapy oils and tantric breathing for those frazzled nerves, bring on the cake I say!
